Chris Meshula, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

For more than 13 years I have been helping to change lives for the better. My philosophy is that the issues we face have origins in our past experiences. Therefore, there is hope for all of us to improve our lives because there are proven ways to reprogram our views of ourselves and the emotions that cling to us. I have gained skills for treating a wide variety of diagnoses and life situations affecting children and adults. I have a reputation for helping the most apprehensive people to trust the therapeutic process and find better outcomes. I use a holistic approach to therapy and specialize in the use of EMDR, emotional regulation and mindfulness skills.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am licensed and trained to provide psychiatric care. I work from a holistic perspective, recognizing that all human systems are interconnected and can play a role in symptom presentation and treatment. I am qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychiatric challenges. I have experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of psychiatric and mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, addiction, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Working from a strengths-based approach, I strive to provide a safe, person-centered, and culturally sensitive environment in which, with the patient, we work together to tailor a treatment plan. Our work together may include an array of interventions, often combining the holistic tradition of the nursing profession and evidence-based medical care with adjunct therapies such as psychotherapy.
